  • Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone): The HUBZone program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities — such as the Indiantown area — gain preferential access to Federal procurement opportunities

Program benefits for HUBZone-certified companies include:

  • Competitive and sole source contracting, as well as 10% price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions and subcontracting opportunities
  • Florida Power & Light Economic Development Rate Program: FPL offers an economic development rate for commercial and industrial businesses that provides significant savings above and beyond the company’s very competitive electric rates
  • Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund (QTI): The Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund incentive is available for companies that create high-wage jobs in targeted high-value-added industries. This incentive includes refunds on corporate income, sales, ad valorem, intangible personal property, insurance premium, and certain other taxes
